I don’t want your saviors…don’t want to share their painI don’t want to follow you if you’re going to pass the blame
Don’t want your petty morals, your ignorance, your shame
We can debate it all in heaven…don’t worry, I paid.
Fire, brimstone, pious rage
All you sinner be afraid
Tomorrow…is judgment day
But I’m not one for pearly gates
I’ll simply molder in my grave
My soul…was never yours to save
You can’t make me better
We don’t see eye to eye
Don’t want your chains and fetters
LIVE FREE OR DIE
You can’t make me better
We don’t see eye to eye
Don’t want your chains and fetters
LIVE FREE OR DIE
Standing at the edge of the world
A chorus sings out, so desperate to be heard
But the voices were many, all in disarray
So I lent my voice and was quickly swept away
Fire, brimstone, pious rage
All you sinner be afraid
Tomorrow…is judgment day
But I’m not one for pearly gates
I’ll simply molder in my grave
My soul…was never yours to take
You can’t make me better
We don’t see eye to eye
Don’t want your chains and fetters
LIVE FREE OR DIE
You can’t make me better
We don’t see eye to eye
Don’t want your chains and fetters
LIVE FREE OR DIE
Who the flying fuck gives a shit where you were born?Unless you directed your mommy where to go from in the womb
I don’t care if you are proud, or if you feel a sense of home
But don’t act like your better than anybody else…cuz your not
This is me, in the flesh and I am standing here before you
You could rip me apart and never knew who I was
But if you stop and realize that I am just the same as you
You could rip down the borders, stereotypes, and labels
Race = human, just the same as you
North or south, east or west our genetics will still prove
That we’re all the fucking same like I’ve said a thousand times
So give up the fucking act and put down the gang sign
Be proud of what you’ve done, or what you strive to be
But don’t act like where you come from is the only place to be
We all know that this place is not for “locals onlyâ€
This is community…based on music and ideas…not geography
If this isn’t where you want to be…GET LOST
If you judge based on locality…GET LOST
If you’re clinging to geography…GET LOST
If your town makes you better than me…GET LOST
It’s about who you are, not where you were born
Religion for Dummied Part II: The Resurrection
He put you here so you could spend your life down on your knees. He watches you so don’t fuck up, cuz he might not let you in
He gave you rules to follow and he gave you things to do
But when you followed them what did he do for you
Serve him and eternity will feel like such a breeze
Or serve yourself and make sure you have just what you need
You’ve got your own body and you bleed your own blood
Why spend you whole life following anyone?
You fill the void inside your head with thoughts of heaven when you’re dead.
There’s more to life than dying, so live for life instead
So scared of life we close our eyes
Hoping that someone will be our guide
We give into stories and believe the lies
We’re a mindless bunch…
It’s OK to hope for the future, because its hope that keeps us alive
When you substitute faith for the void in your head then you’re living to die.
I can tell you what I think and you can do what you want toBut I won’t waste my breath this time justifying what I do
We’re not just another lame excuse to punch your friends
No matter what you think of us and the message that we send
And I care… I think…and then I do..
Well sometime prematurely but intentions are always good
And I could only wish that you would live that way too
Look at you running around, drunk and starting fights
You think that you’re so tough? Well no one cares tonight
We all pity you…
We all fear being scene and not heard
But fear alone won’t stop the fight
You think your so tough…your looking for a fight
You picked the wrong place and the wrong night
Well why not look past the spikes and hair
We’re having a good time, and yes we care
Your macho bullshit act won’t stop the kids that CAre.
I can tell you what I think and you can do what you want to
But I won’t waste my breath this time justifying what I do
We’re not just another lame excuse to punch your friends
No matter what you think of us and the message that we send
And I care… I think…and then I do..
And I could only wish that you would live that way too
And I care… I think…and then I do..
And I could only wish that you would live that way too
You think that you’re so tough? Well no one cares tonight
We all pity you…
We all fear being scene and not heard
But you won’t bring us down tonight
I know that there’s more than one reason why we come back every night and why we cry and why we scream and why we put our differences aside. And we care so very much about our fellow human beings and feel the need to express ourselves in every way and every means.
We’re all part of this disease, its flowing through our veins, we’re more than just a scene..
It’s no coincidence, that we’re gathered here today, a family accepting eachother…in every way.
Don’t look at me like this is something new…I’ve been here all along
As long as I can remember you would say to me…”punk is all you do.”
You can call it what you want and you can call me what you will,
but whatever you say will never change me.
Where would we be today if we cared what people said
I can guarantee we wouldn’t have gotten very far
we’re all part of this disease, its flowing through our veins, we’re more than just a scene..
it’s no coincidence, that we’re gathered here today, a family accepting eachother…in every way.
Don’t look at me like this is something new…I’ve been here all along
As long as I can remember you would say to me…”punk is all you do.”
You can call it what you want and you can call me what you will,
but whatever you say will never change me.
Where would we be today if we cared what people thought
I can guarantee we wouldn’t have gotten very far
We’ll keep doing what we want (We live our own life)
no matter what anybody says (we live our own way)
we don’t care what they call us (so get used to us)
we’ll still be here anyway
I can’t tell you what to thinkSometimes I don’t know what to think
Cuz sometimes I feel like shit for not having the answers
I AM DESTROYING THE WORLD
there are so many Q’s but not as many answers
Everybody talks about it
but not as many act on..
I don’t know where it came from
but I wont let the world go to shit
EVERYONE JOIN THE FIGHT
but not with fists or bullets
Armor piercing words make a change! ARM YOURSELVES
Everybody talks, Everybody screams change
but nobody walks, they expect somebody else to work
and the ones that do care, bust their asses everyday
but nobody seems to be working together
watch what you say or you’ll end up
dead”don’t let your tongue cut off your head”
watch what I say?? NO WAY..
Let me introduce…our generation to the worldmoney money money, our success is going to kill us all
so are we going to join the ranks of the killers
or are we going to try and make a difference
Let me introduce…C-A Redemption to the world
noise noise noise, our success will be your downfall
we will never join the ranks of the killers
we’ll spend our lives trying to make a difference
we’ll spend our lives trying to
make a difference
Sister’s on the front lines and
BIG BROTHER is watching over her.Mother’s in the kitchen but there’s nothing cooking for supper.Everybody’s waiting, but they don’t know what they’re waiting for.
A letter? a phone call? a press release? or something more?
It’s not like she wanted to ever have to hurt someone.
She figured it’s a job and there was nowhere else to run.
Like her family before her, she’s doing what she’s gotta do
and just like before her, she’s also gonna get the screw.
Support the kids…impeach the president
Do
whatever it takes to get them home alive
Support
the troops…impeach the president
Do
whatever it takes to get them home alivePlanning a life but you don’t know when he’s coming home. The Telephone is ringing but do you really want to get the phone?
You’ve got news yourself, but your scared of who is calling you
’cause you don’t want to hear that daddy died before he ever knew.
He grew up with his mother ‘cause his father never made it home.
We hear about it every day but this happened many years before.
He promised himself he’d never do it to his family
but through these tough times it was all that he could be.
Another day another casualty.
Another lesson to teach in history.
Another lie another fallacy.
Another reason to raise your voice sing.
They taught us how to crawl before we learned to walk
and we had to learn to listen before we learned to talk.
Did you ever think they’d teach us how to shoot and kill?
They taught us that a life is only there to pay the bills.
Of course they never taught us how to value what we should
’cause if we valued life it wouldn’t do them any good.
Remember that they didn’t skip the chapter on revenge
’cause they knew that they could use us, and disguise it as “defenseâ€.
Did they ever teach you the true value of anything?
I’m not talking dollars; I’m talking of important things.
The true value of life, love, friends, and family is worth
a lot more than a buck and a lot more than some turf.
They teach us what we should think is right and wrong,
while all the patriots dance to their songs.
(The one with the most gold is the
one that makes the rules)
I
wasn’t born so you could use me to get ahead in lifeand if I was is this cause really worth the fight? There’s no amount of cash, that could make want to kill
or any plot of soil or any stack of bills.
There is no book of ethics/morals that would say that it’s alright
to put me in a situation where I don’t want to fight.
Our country is being ruled by fist and the golden rule;
not the rule your thinking of….the one where we’re your tools.
The one that has the most gold is the one that makes the rules
and we don’t have a say ‘cause of this auctions high reserve.
The Draft is getting ready behind your curtain of lies. He’s out of retirement and he’s working on his eyes.
When make-ups done and ready, he’ll be in the spot-light:
The greatest show you’ll ever see, and it’ll seem sincere, and right.
The
one that has the most gold is the one that makes the rulesand were the ones to die if we keep playing the fool. Most of the country will be dancing with the so-called patriots
but some of us will be on the streets trying to change their thoughts.
We won’t be like you, we wont be pouring lies down all their throats.
And hopefully we’ll keep a few soldiers off your boats.
DRAFT
ME??? No, I’m not following you.FUCK YOU!! I’ll never die for you.I RULE!! You’re not the boss of me.
You’ll have to put me in jail ‘cause I won’t fight!

Water tables are droppingand the sea level is risingand the land mass is shrinking
while the population explodes.
When are we going to deal with the over-population?
When are we going to face the effects of our pollution?
When are we going to put an end to our mass consumption?
The answer lies inside us all…here comes our self destruction?
Your economic theory can’t explain our melting ice-caps
and your pocketbooks however big can’t cover the cost of pay-back.
Soon these long-term effects — of our mass consumption
will start to become short-term economic problems,
and the capitalists will derive their own set of outcomes
which will probably incorporate new types global/earth destruction?
Born into this world in a country where
your quality of life is based on how much you consume.
How much do you buy? How much did you pay?
How much did you destroy today?
People say that we’re just victims of our own success
but do you really think that what we achieved is what is best?
The fate of the world depends on
how we decide to live. The things we do, the things we buy, affect the environment. When are you going to open your eyes and see that your function
is not to contribute, but put an end to this destruction?
When are you going to realize that you can mend this world we live in?
It’s time to make a change before our grim future is written.
Water tables are dropping
and the sea level is rising
and the land mass is shrinking
while the population explodes.
Everywhere
you look, everywhere you go, school, work, markets, even our shows,
segregation
at the roots; judging on differences and by looks.
That’s
fucked up wait till you know the kids you judge by their clothes.
They
might have problems, not know better. That poor girl judged by her gender.
My
friend John, he’s got a Mohawk. He wears plaid pants and has no socks.
Got’s
converse shoes and tattoos, walks around with a bottle of booze.
Eyes
follow him wherever he goes. Where he is everyone knows.
He
gets the attention he never had growing up with no dad.
My
friend Mike has no hair, wears tight pants and doesn’t care.
He
does what he wants all day long he has no job: he’s never wrong.
No
direction, nowhere to go, he wishes he had a place to grow,
to
learn about life in this concrete cage, guidance lost at a very young age.
Well
look at me, I just cut my hair. I’m a clean cut kid no one should care.
I
go to school and try my best. Voice my opinion unlike the rest.
So
what if we look different? Inside were all the same.
Let’s
all accept each other and end this awful game.
Here
I am in the human race, punk rock show: this is our place.
I
think this is where I belong, please help me sing this song.
We
are all equal no one should take the blame.
No
matter gender race or nation we suffer all the same.
Inside
were all the same, we all feel pain.
It’s
time to stand united and end this f-ing game.
I can’t believe my eyes when I see
you get sucked in.
Think about where you’re going,
can’t believe that you gave in.
You never cease to amaze me with your
stupidity.
I told you things would get fucked
up. Its okay, don’t believe me.
Don’t go. It’s not a good cause.
Don’t die. It’s not worth it.
Don’t lie. You know what I mean.
Don’t go. It’s not your cause.
Don’t fight. It’s not worth it.
Don’t kill. It’s not your war.
So what the hell is wrong with you?
Go on go to war.
I told you not to get sucked in but
your listening skills are poor.
I thought you were serious when you
said “its all bullshit”.
Well, now you’re gonna die. I hope
you think that it’s worth it.
I watched as you were sucked in by
your country’s propaganda.
Now you want to try and save the day
just when your country needs you.
You’ll fight with courage and valor
‘till your enemies are slaughtered.
If you think parades and medals
await, well, you’ve already been forgotten.
Don’t go. Don’t fight. Don’t
go. Don’t die.
I don’t want my friends to die.
The sun never shines downtown it
seems, for looming glass towers eclipse the skies,
but the financial district fortress
gleams like the twinkle in a dead mans eyes.
Black limos lurk on the freeways like
fierce chariots off to battle
unaware of the poor on the MTA or the
bums scrounging for precious metals.
It’s funny how the boss sells his
stocks just before the market crashes.
Like the factory gates that are
locked forever, the workers thrown out on their asses.
Class war profiteers are making cash,
off of human despair and urban strife.
They would rather pay for more tear
gas than rejuvenate a ghetto back to life.
The streets here aren’t paved with
gold. They are kept tidy with the bomb and gun.
Tidy never kept anyone from the cold
when they’re living off of California Redemption.
Who would think twice or hesitate
before running a poor man through?
It’s he can imagine life from a
homeless point of view
And the woman who once knew that life
and acutely felt the pain
of being, hungry, cold, alone and
standing in the rain.
But now she lives the “good
life” with a place where she can sleep.
Some would call it squalid but for it
she works all week.
People come to give her help; they
see how hard she tries.
And still people that have it worse
are ignored and denied.
There are endless chances to labor
but no opportunity to work.
If you won’t bend for the slavers
you’ll get treated as a shirk.
So many people sleep in a cardboard
bed or toil away their lives in the pit.
When the starving millions beg to be
fed the rich will say “let them eat shit”.
Yet the people still have hope.
Through fear and famine people persist
‘till capitalism sells us the rope
we use to hang them with.
Now and again I catch a gleam, for
looming glass towers can’t smother all.
And when the lights flicker on at
night, there is not much further we can fall
Black limos exit the freeway and pass
the homeless without care.
One bum smiles and gives a wave,
anticipates when he’ll be there.
You
see them on street corners, handing bibles to kids.
Giving
the kids a chance; to turn into machines,
to
live their lives the “godly†way and always prey on their peers,
throwing
their minds back a couple thousand years.
You
see them on TV, asking for your cash.
Fifteen
percent of your income will keep you out of hell.
Just
send it in cash or check, or even credit card.
Now
those asses have enough to buy their fancy cars.
You
fall in love and you find out your religions aren’t the same.
Your
parents give you shit; now you’ve disgraced their name.
Why
should that matter? We are all the same.
Make
up your own rules and live your life that way.
They
tell you what to think. They tell you what to do.
They
take your money without shame and tell you who to screw.
Do
you think it’s true? Do you think it’s real?
It’s
time to open your own mouth and tell them how you feel.
We
don’t need your religions to guide us through life.
We
have our friends and have our ways, we’ll never be blind.
It
seems like such a waste of time, try to save your life
from
God’s wrath upon the world, turn against in spite.
If
you’ve already been sucked in, I feel pity for you.
Look
around, think for yourself and seek out the truth.
Remember
that this is my life; you do what you wanna do.
But
when you force your ideals on me you’re gonna have to hear me through.
We don’t know what’s going on.
Most of us don’t care.
Few of us have realized that they
don’t want us to hear.
We’re going through this world with
blindfolds on our eyes.
We wake up; turn on the news,
bombarded with lies.
We demand the truth, throw away your
lies.
We demand the truth, that’s our
battle cry.
The (god, church, corporate industry,
government, tobacco industry) is killing aimlessly while trying to sensor
everything we see.
I thought we had a democracy. Since
when was speech not free?
Why the fuck am I not as good as you?
Why can’t I be told the truth
instead of the stories that you brew?
Very few people read the paper
anymore
they watch TV, play video games, and
try to beat some score.
News of shit that’s not important
fill our TV screens.
a few words of kidnapping and none on
police brutality.
The media’s only showing the
profitable news
of things we don’t care about.
Which corporation will pay them more?
That’s all that they care about.
Once
I was at a show at an old veteran’s hall.
So
many people packed the room, you could barely move at all.
Kids
slam dancing in the circle pit brought energy.
No
one was embarrassed to sing in harmony.
As
if the sweat, torn clothes, and spilt drinks bound us all like glue,
I
let out frustration with someone I never knew.
Most
of us had never met, still were singing arm in arm.
In
the pit we feel responsibility that no one falls to harm.
This
is what it means to me, a punk rock show ideally.
For
this set we all are one united by the music we live and love.
I see kids in the playgrounds,
playing with toy guns,
shooting each other, playing around
and always having fun.
Well the thing that no one realizes
is that the kids are learning fast
that guns are fun and guns are cool,
but not about the death.
The next generation of gun nuts, are
the ones that’ll kill us all.
They’ll have the power and the guns.
Don’t let the coin fall.
Everybody wants peace, everybody
wants love.
Where’s the peace and love when you
teach your son to hunt.
Where did this world go wrong? Why do
we have to worry so much?
It tears us apart. Why can’t you
see guns don’t belong?
Stop a beating heart. How can you?
How could you? It just makes no sense.
Why can’t you see that guns are a
problem? It’s not just me.
Why don’t we stop this “guns
are good” from corrupting our children?
“Guns don’t kill people. People
kill peopleâ€, people with guns.
Smith and Wesson, AK 47: tools of
destruction.
We’ve got to stop this. We’ve got to
stop this!
We’re living in a world of war.
There are no times of peace.
Sometimes they say “we’ve made a
deal!” and leaders give hand shakes
but at the same time weapons of mass
destruction are pointed at the sky.
It’s only a matter of time, the
human race will die.
If only we were more humane, kids not
taught to fight.
We’d think of better ways to end
this world of fear and spite.
So hold on tight, hope for better
lives
where were not scared to go outside.
I don’t wanna die, and neither do
you.
Let’s change this world we live in
for good.
Blue skies, green grass, the sun is
shining bright.
Kids playing on the street, while
others are waiting to fight.
On my way to the beach, I look to the
right.
Soldiers’ narrow vision constricted
through their guns’ sites.
Blow away the smoke screens and open
up your eyes
sedentary Americans its time to
realize
that revenge isn’t giving anyone a
better life
just reason to fight back and cause
more strife.
America: the world’s police force.
America: where leaders feel no
remorse.
We have preference, ‘cause we live
here. Foreigners live your lives in fear.
When problems arise we live by our
guns so tick, tick, tick, bomb!
So do you think that it’s worth it
to send your kid
to fight a war that no one will win?
Our “leaders” are calling
it a preemptive strike.
A preemptive impeachment, that would
have been nice.
America, there’s fireworks tonight.
America: chanting “fight, fight,
fight!â€
United we’ll march to defend our home
while children abroad are dying alone.
Here come the troops, there are no
problems, so tick, tick, tick, bomb!
We will defend. Never stop the fight.
Enemies crushed beneath our boots.
It’ll never end because we know
we’re…
Darkness comes like the tide rolling
in.
Like the ashes of a dwindling fire
blowing in the wind.
So natural, there’s never question.
You never had to read a book to know
about it.
You take life for granted, you never
question.
You close your eyes, plug your ears,
and never listen.
But truth be told, you’re getting
old, and for the first time in your life you start caring.
When you think your vote won’t be
counted or you feel you can’t make a change.
Know that giving up is giving consent not
to be considered or have a say.
People think
thinking is a waste of their time because they’ll never make a difference alone.
And the reason they believe is ’cause
others gave up their right to be heard and be known.
But you’re not alone and if you
hold on to this concept of democracy
we can work with each other and do
what we can to better the world through policy.
If we all sat back and waited for
others to initiate a change
we might get what we want or
something much worse but mostly things stay the same.
The government is based on the will
of the people and enough people can rearrange it all.
But it all starts with writing a
letter, casting your vote, or making a call.
Attend a demonstration for an
important cause for which you care and believe.
Try to live the ideals that manifest
in your head and give your representatives no reprieve.
Make them fucking work for it.
If you truly care about your role in
the world you simply can’t be mute and lame.
Work together and challenge what’s
here because if you don’t what the hell will you gain?
We have to begin right now, look what
the delay has cost.
Every hour passing by is another hour
lost.
Now. Not in the next few days.
Now. Not in an hour or two.
Now, not in the next few minutes when
we say now we mean it.
Like
waves crashing in beating on the shore breaking down the rocks to the sand we
adore.
Today you see jagged rocky
shorelines. We’ll see sandy beaches in no time.
Just take a good look around in any
public place,
you won’t see anything you haven’t
seen before.
Hip kids have happily realized
there’s no escape
from what lurks inside the trendy
retail stores.
The kid in the corner of class is
always ignored.
His parents shop at thrift stores
because the bargain’s good.
When the pop kids go shopping there’s
nothing they can’t afford.
Just charge it all to daddy’s credit
card.
Youth culture will never go away.
Kids fight to keep up.
Youth fashion will never go away,
though it changes day by day.
Girls go walk around in uncomfortable
shoes and smile for all the boys,
get drunk at a party and give it up
to be cool.
Guys join a gym and get fuckin’
ripped for all the babes,
give smaller un-cool people shit.
They’re probably all insane.
Youth culture will never go away.
Kids fight to keep up.
Youth fashion will never go away,
though it changes everyday.
I won’t be part of it though I’m
sure that no one cares.
Youth culture will never go away.
Don’t take part, just take it down.
Cell phone in your hand, petty
earrings on your lobes,
a tattoo on your lower back: youth
culture has dress codes.
No one thinks it frivolous and no one
really cares
but that’s the way youth culture
has it, that’s probably why its there.
Everywhere I go I see corruption.
Everywhere I go I see deceit.
The only
thing that keeps my feet on the ground is the pounding in my eardrums from the
beat.
This is my heart. This is my life.
This is what I do, it’s what I love.
This is my heart. This is my life and
I’ll be doing this until I die.
So much drama. So much shit. It
doesn’t matter what I do or say.
So many problems, so many tears, they
just never ever ever go away.
But I can turn to you ‘because
you’ll always be there.
I’ve been using you my whole life.
Well now it’s time to give back and
I’m trying all I can.
So this is how I chose to live my
life.
I’ll be
with you ‘till I die.
